But I accidentally switched to Google wallet, and it deleted my cards off of this, and the update happened, and now I can't re-add the cards. So I guess I'm stuck with Google, which doesn't even connect to the little card slide pass/shortcut under the Home icon.

The company has said all existing HomeKit APIs will automatically work with Matter-enabled accessories. It isn’t a platform; it’s just the language the devices speak to each other. The current iphone app is just OK, it's fairly complicated when setting up "scenes", and I'm very technically oriented. I've seen numerous user complaints stating that the Classic version is much better, but unfortunately, the Classic version is on its way out. It connected initially as per the "normal" process, but later it stated it was unavailable. Support helped me with the exclusion process, and it worked for a while, but then it stopped working again.
Audio
This soundbar is the cream of the crop of Dolby Atmos experiences. Otherwise, SmartThings works quite well, with the exception of Spotify Connect. The good news is I didn’t have any stutters streaming over Wi-Fi in over a week, which is noteworthy in this space. But controlling volume in Spotify or directly in SmartThings is sensitive and difficult to adjust without making audio too quiet or too loud. There’s only a single fader inside the app for volume and moving it without blasting the room is very tricky.
As of iOS 16.1, Apple’s HomePod, HomePod Mini, and 2021 and 2022 Apple TV 4K models are already Matter controllers. The HomePod Mini, Apple TV 4K Wi-Fi + Ethernet , and Apple TV 4K are also Thread border routers. All Apple’s operating systems — watchOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and HomePod software — are now Matter certified, too. Matter controllers take care of Wi-Fi and ethernet devices, but if you have Thread devices, you need a Thread border router to talk to the Matter controller. Helpfully, some Matter controllers are also Thread border routers.

Samsung's SmartThings app has changed a lot since we initially reviewed it. For one thing, the interface is a bit clearer than before. Now, the home screen is divided into sections based on what devices you have in each room and their status. Each device has a small card, and lets you control each. If you're upgrading from an older hub, be prepared to do some work.
At that point , you start getting into a similar cost to a fully decked out A/V system from solid brands like SVS’ Prime series. AirPlay with my iPhone 13 Pro was much easier to control—I could easily adjust volume from the phone’s side buttons without overcorrection. As well as it does with well-produced TV and cinema, one of the most impressive aspects of the HW-Q990B is how good it is at balancing those theatrics with solid musical chops. The bar doesn’t have the same tact or overall stereo imaging as my KEF LX 2.1 system, and occasionally moments like sharp brass feel a little thin and forced.
